Here's a simple and effective text effect I use frequently in my graphics! Did you know it's easy to learn?
Open a new image! Create a new 'Text Box' and type in your desired text

Now, go to the top menu and click 'Filter', go under 'Pixelate' and select 'Mosaic'. When the option for a 'Rasterize' layer pops up, click 'Ok'.

Make sure the settings on your page look identical to the settings made below:

If you want a more vivid effect, try sharpening the text!
