What is Copyright?

Copyright is the thing that protects people of their work through a little phrase with the word "copyright" or the symbol (c) that is placed on footers or a page on a website. Well, you see it everywhere - books, television, posters, etc. In the case of this guide, we will talk about copyright in websites.

This how to properly denote copyright:
Copyright (c) (date of creation) (name of owner).

With a little blurb containing less than six words, copyright:
  • gives permission of redistributing
  • states that premade graphics for public use is permitted if stated
  • does not claim copyright for outside resources used if credits are stated

If you want a more in-depth anaylsis and explanation of copyright visit this site.
