Blending with Adobe Photoshop
Have you always wondered how two separate images could be blended together so thoroughly? Well, your going to find out!To blend images you need more than two images. Today, we are going to work with two images: Image #1 & Image #2 - which are both nice paparazzi images of Amy Lee! I'd like to credit Evanescence Website for the candid shots!
Create a new image (File > New), make sure the height of the new image is around the same as the two images. The width, however, has to be less than double of one of the images (e.g. Image #1 is 200px in width, so the new image will have to be around 350px in width). Thus, the new image size must be 350px by 450px.
Once you have created your new blank image (preferably a white background), paste the first image. Make sure to position it to the left side.
Create a new layer, once you have completed that simple and satisfying task, paste the second image. Make sure this image touches the right side and slightly overlaps the first image.
Now, look to the left side of your computer screen - you will see a tool bar! Find the button (near the top) of a lasso and select it. At the top of window you will see the following image appear. Make sure you fill in the following properties.
Using your lasso tool draw around the area where the second image overlaps the first image. Now, find the "delete" key on your keyboard (you can usually find it near "Print Screen" or "Insert"). Once you have found it, keep on clicking on it until the second image fades enough that it looks like the two images are blended. Once you are satisfied with the result, stop pressing "Delete". If you "over-pressed" the key, simply "Step Backward" (CTL+Z or Edit > Step Backward).
