Fallen (March 4, 2003)

Amy Lee told an interviewer that she independently started the songwriting process on her own and then presented her ideas to Ben to make corrections or add more lyrics. The album Fallen has many themes from broken relationships to celebrity fascination, ghosts, hauntings, and a memorium for Amy Lee's sister.

The Open Door (October 3, 2006)

The Open Door took the band in a different direction than it was previously known for. The songs were more soulful, ballad-like, depper, and more "organic". Like Fallen, the album had themes of broken relationships (specifically with Shaun Morgan of Seether), betrayal, depression, rebirth, independence, and again a memorium to Amy's sister.
